Allen Robinson, the next Adrian Wojnarowski?
The veteran NFL wide receiver, who last played for the Bears and is currently a free agent, decided to put on his reporter hat Tuesday morning, but not to reveal his plans for the upcoming season. Robinson hopped on Twitter and declared that … Cavaliers center Andre Drummond will be joining the Nets?
NBA TRADE DEADLINE: Date, time, latest rumors, news, top targets
“Per sources, Andre Drummond will be signing with the Nets,” Robinson tweeted. “They get some reinforcement on the defensive end and the glass. Look for them to still be active around the trade deadline lol.”

Well, that came out of nowhere. We’ve got to talk about a few things here:
— Robinson’s “report” ends with him saying “lol,” so it’s possible this is just a joke. In that case, uh, you got us.
— Drummond can’t currently sign with the Nets because he is still under contract with the Cavs. If Cleveland and Drummond agree to a buyout, then he could become a free agent and sign a deal with Brooklyn. That hasn’t happened yet, though.
— The Nets just added a frontcourt piece in Blake Griffin after the six-time All-Star reached a buyout agreement with the Pistons. Brooklyn has previously been linked to Drummond, but perhaps the acquisition of Griffin changes how they approach the buyout and trade markets this month.
— ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, who is not an NFL player but has been an NBA reporter for quite some time, recently said that the Cavs are “playing hardball” and won’t simply give away Drummond. Cleveland is hoping it can land a draft pick and/or young player in a Drummond trade, per Windhorst.
Hmmm. You might want to speak to another source, Allen.
