
Ole Miss opened the College World Series final with a resounding 10-2 win against Oklahoma on Saturday. The Rebels led only 4-2 heading into the eighth inning, but opened up their lead with three home runs in the top half of the inning and two more runs scored in the top of the ninth to pull away.
Looking to end the series in two games, Ole Miss will send out ace Hunter Elliott to start Game 2. The freshman has posted a 2.70 ERA with 96 strikeouts in 73 1/3 innings of work. The Sooners will start Cade Horton, who has a 5.24 ERA and 51 strikeouts in 46 1/3 innings. Horton is coming off three straight starts of at least six innings with two runs allowed in each against Florida, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame.

4:25 p.m.: Clark flies out to McCants in shallow center field.
4:24 p.m.: The call is confirmed. Elko stayed on for the out.
4:22 p.m.: Great play by Chatagnier as he ranges to his left, spins in shallow right field and throws it accurately to Elko at first to get Crooks. Oklahoma is challenging whether Elko kept his foot on the base.
4:20 p.m.: Tredaway flies out to Harris in right for the first out.
4:17 p.m.: Harris grounds one to Peyton Graham, who steps on second for the force out to end the fourth.
4:14 p.m.: Alderman comes up empty on three straight pitches, striking out on a 97 mph fastball upstairs. Harris now stands between Horton and getting out of danger.
4:13 p.m.: Pitch up-and-in from Horton hits the elbow pad of Kevin Graham to give Alderman a chance to bat with runners on first and second and only one away.
4:10 p.m.: After an 11-pitch battle, Horton catches Elko looking.
4:04 p.m.: Gonzalez rips a liner into right to give the Rebels their first hit of the game with an exit velocity of 108.9 mph.
