You can’t find a college football player with more eyes on them heading into 2024 than Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
has him listed among the favorites to bring home the award in December. Sanders was one of six players listed in the favorites category and the only one from the Big 12 Conference. All six players are quarterbacks: Sanders, Georgia’s Carson Beck, Oregon’s Dillon Gabriel, Alabama’s Jalen Milroe, Texas’ Quinn Ewers, and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart.
Sanders, 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds, threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 3 interceptions in 11 games in 2023 while being sacked an FBS-leading 52 times. He’s projected as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
If he were to deliver on the biggest prize in college football — in terms of individual success — it would be a media storm like few college football has ever seen.
Sanders is certainly in play for the Heisman Trophy, and NCAA.com
