FIFA 23 Early Access: How to play the game before release
There are three main methods of early access for FIFA 23, with beta users currently trialing the game ahead of release.For those not selected to take part in the beta program, there are two alternatives.
FIFA 23 Beta codes
FIFA 23 beta codes have already been sent out to select players based in the UK and US.Typically, those who were subscribed to EA emails were among the people to receive a code.
‘Closed Beta’ is currently underway, running until September 1, and is only available on PlayStation and Xbox (not on Switch, PC, or Stadia).
Pre-order FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition
By pre-ordering FIFA 23 Ultimate Edition, you will be able to play the game ahead of its release.

Those who have pre-ordered will receive three days of early access from September 27 before the Standard version is released on September 30.
This applies to both XBox and PlayStation consoles.
An alternative method to gain early access is to become a member of EA Play.
This will give players the option to trial the game from September 27 but will be limited to 10 hours of gameplay.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members also receive the same trial access.
Will there be a FIFA 23 demo?
There is unlikely to be a demo version for FIFA 23.
Whilst it was previously common for EA Sports to release a demo game, the last two editions have broken that trend, with it set to continue again this time.
FIFA 23 release date: When does the game come out?
According to the EA Sports announcement on July 20, FIFA 23 will be released on Friday, September 30, 2022, with the Ultimate Edition pre-release available three days earlier on Tuesday, September 27.
How to pre-order FIFA 23 Standard, Ultimate or Legacy editions
FIFA 23 can be pre-ordered through EA Sports directly by clicking the link here – with the link taking you to the EA Sports shop in your region of the world.
The game can also be pre-ordered via video game retailers and some electronics stores, including Epic Games (US), EB Games (AU) and GAME (UK).
Is FIFA 23 the last game of the franchise?
The upcoming installment of FIFA 23 will be the last under the partnership between EA Sports and world governing body FIFA.
Following the upcoming release, all future games will stop using the FIFA name or branding, with the franchise to be rebranded as EA Sports FC.
