Liverpool vs Everton live score, updates, highlights and lineups for Premier League derby at Anfield

ANFIELD, LIVERPOOL — Even accounting for Liverpool’s woeful form this season, they would have come into this meeting with Everton far more confident of victory had it been played two weeks ago.

However, the appointment of Sean Dyche as Toffees boss and a morale-boosting win over Premier League leaders Arsenal has served to flip the mood across Stanley Park.

As for Jurgen Klopp’s side, their struggles continued with a 3-0 defeat at Wolves last time out, which meant they come into this game without a win in three.

Liverpool vs Everton lineups

Thiago Alcantara has not trained with the Liverpool squad because of what Klopp described as “some problems” including a hip flexor issue.

“I know the problems but I have to ask the medical department what I am allowed to say about it,” added the German.

Luis Diaz and Ibrahima Konate are still out and Fabinho is a doubt after missing his side’s 3-0 hammering at relegation-threatened Wolves in their last match through illness.

Liverpool predicted lineup (4-3-3): Alisson (GK) — Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Gomez, Robertson — Bajcetic, Henderson, Elliott — Salah, Nunez, Gakpo

  • Injured: Konate, Van Dijk, Melo, Thiago, Jota, Diaz, Firmino
  • Suspended: None

Neal Maupay came on against Arsenal and could replace Dominic Calvert-Lewin from the start this time, while Michael Keane is battling fitness issues with his knee and will be assessed ahead of the match.

“It’s a great opportunity if someone plays instead,” Dyche said of his decision over who could deputise in attack. “What a game to step into if Calvert-Lewin isn’t right. So they have to be ready to take it on.”

Ben Godfrey and James Garner have returned to full training and Nathan Patterson is stepping up his rehabilitation from a medial knee problem, but Andros Townsend is still recovering from a torn ACL.

Everton predicted lineup (4-5-1): Pickford (GK) — Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko — McNeil, Doucoure, Gueye, Onana, Iwobi — Maupay

  • Injured: Keane, Patterson, Townsend, Calvert-Lewin
  • Suspended: None
