What is Robert Williams’ injury?

In the fourth quarter of Game 3, Williams put his body on the line by chasing down a loose ball near the Celtics’ bench. He kept the ball in play with a spirited effort but went crashing into the chairs, staying down while holding his arm.

Williams was diagnosed with a right forearm contusion and even though he was deemed eligible to return, he remained on the sideline for the rest of the game.

Williams was impactful in 16 minutes, tallying four points, five rebounds, three blocks, and a steal.

How long is Robert Williams out?

The Celtics announced that Williams was eligible to return in Game 3, which is a good sign for his injury status moving forward.

Williams will have one day off on Saturday before these teams take the floor again on Sunday, May 7 for Game 4.
