WNBA Draft 2021 date, start time, pick order, how to watch & more to know

A new WNBA season is fast approaching with training camps set to begin later this month. Before we get to the games, though, it’s time for one of the league’s biggest annual events.

The 2021 WNBA Draft will once again be held virtually amid the COVID-19 pandemic. WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert will announce the picks live on television, and prospects will participate in the festivities remotely.

“The opportunity for these elite athletes to reach this pinnacle and share this special moment with their families, friends and WNBA fans, even in a virtual format, will make for a truly memorable night especially as we commemorate the league’s 25th season and continue building momentum for the future of the league,” Engelbert said of this year’s draft.
